Final score was actually 44-8. The last XP was wide left, but Conner announcer called it good and they put the point up.

Good bounce back win for Dixie.

Make that double. Loved that they mixed in more passing this week, getting the ball to their WR1 and spreading it around. The offense was fun to watch tonight. Letting the JV players get some burn was also a nice touch. Kudos to the coaches for making the adjustments and just allowing the kids to ball out.

Why would the coaching staff let Gilliland carry the ball 22 times when he did not practice this week because of a bad shoulder. The game was decided early on.

How do you he didn’t practice all week? Was he in street clothes all week or did they just cut reps? Kids a SR who probably won’t play past HS. When I coached this part of the year we would cut reps to help develop guys for the playoffs and for the next season.

I had a RB that we did as little as possible during the week with him so he was healthy Friday night. Kid ended up being the first 1k rusher in school history and the all time leading rusher for the school. It was 22 carries not 40. When did they take him out of the game? Who do they play next? Have they had a bye yet?

Gilliland is a beast of a back. He put in work last night, then Dixie rotated with Suedkamp and Roaden at RB. Kid’s got a great work ethic and unbelievable motor and as he goes, so does the team. They’re jockeying to host a playoff game. Dixie plays Boone County at home next week, followed by a bye, and ends the regular season at home vs. Ryle.

Can confirm he did in fact practice, all week, both sides of the ball.

Wow, not trying to spread rumors, but my information came from a very, very close family member. Looks like I was fibbed too.
