Now that were a little bit past the midway point of the season. Where would people rank the top 10 in NKY now.

To me the top 4 is:

  1. Highlands

  2. Beechwood

  3. CovCath

  4. Lloyd

Then after that it really is wide open and could go with a a few different teams from 5 down.

Lloyd would get shattered by the big schools.

No way on Lloyd at 4. I would put Cooper, Simon, and Ryle all ahead of the Juggs.

Based on what exactly? As previous years mean nothing for this year.

I know using score comparisons isn't always the best, but we do have games that doesn't exactly support your and Madden curse point that the big schools would beat Lloyd.

Ryle hasn't looked good at all this year. Cooper beat Ryle. Conner was beating Cooper all game before losing, Campbell lost to Cooper in overtime. Yet Lloyd took care of both Campbell and Conner much easier. As Lloyd beat Conner 48 to 19 and beat Campbell 38 to 20. Out of the big schools you all mentioned Simon Kenton really is the only one that doesn't have a score that would go against your alls point.

Maybe you all would be right, as I know Cooper did beat Lloyd in a scrimmage. However, I know I would like Lloyd's chances against basically all those big schools you all mentioned.

I will add, Lloyd just lost to Bourbon County.

Bourbon County 48.06

HSRatings.com has all those teams above Lloyd as well.

And yet the games on the field with common opponents show differently.

They are close in ratings so wouldn't be a surprise if Lloyd beat them but also wouldn't be surprise if Lloyd lost.

No disagreement there at all. I personally would have Lloyd over most of the schools we're talking about, just based off the results. But wouldn't be surprised at all if the other teams won as I think they would all be close good games.

Quite honestly I think NKY football as a whole is down this year. You have your top 3 teams in Highlands, Beechwood, and CovCath. Then as you all have shown you truly can make an argument for a bunch of teams after that, I know I just personally would have had Lloyd at 4 right now. However, their performance tonight isn't really helping matters with their tight game with Henry County.

No argument there...

It's a close call for 4th in my opinion and I think Lloyd could possibly beat Cooper and Ryle. Lloyd just hasn't had that breakthrough monumental win in my opinion in their recent years to 100% convince me otherwise . I think their regular season schedule the past four to five years is just far too easy. I'd love to see them schedule a couple more difficult opponents, I really believe it could propel them as a consistent 3a powerhouse and contender in the future. I think they have however built the resume to land a potential regular season matchup with the Ryles , Coopers and possibly Lexington Catholics of the world.

Well none of the teams discussed really for the 4th spot really did much to impress this week. Cooper was on a bye, so maybe they should be 4th.

The one thing I think we all can agree on is the top 3: Highlands, Beechwood, Covcath. Then it’s a big drop off and could go multiple different ways to fill out the rest of the top 10.
