Last season, this was a 19-6 home victory for Ballard as the Knights of Lexington Catholic struggled mightily offensively. The Knights would improve by leaps and bounds on that side of the ball behind versatile star Brady Wasik. He is now gone to graduation and the Knights will have to reorganize the pieces on both sides of the ball. Besides his loss, the upside of the returning roster is huge and it will be interesting to see who steps up.

This should be an early season slugfest in the August heat, not all that dissimilar to last year.

Ballard really struggled against Bullitt East in their last scrimmage. I like LexCath in a close one.
