I am not sure on Brown but when the team that knows you the best lets you go, that says something. I understand money is a big part of this equation but based on performance this has been a win for KC and a loss for Cincy.

I said it all season last year. Brown needs to lose 25-30 pounds. He is slow. He still weighs 320 if he loses 30 pounds.

KC has been struggling at the tackle position even more since he left. They finally used to use a first round pick on a tackle a year ago, since they were struggling to replace him.

Is he great nope, is he bad nope. The biggest thing to me is it’s a lot easier to get worse at that position, than it is to find someone better than him.

To add on more about Brown at left tackle. Who do you all think they should have or could have replaced him with that would been an upgrade? Keep in mind the Bengals traded their first round pick for Dexter.

Is Brown the weak link on the line? Yeah probably. However, as I mentioned it is a lot easier to get worse at that position than get better if you moved on.

Not to mention a lot of rankings had the Bengals as having a top 10 pass blocking line heading into this season, based off how this 5 performed the second half of last year.

A lot of promising things from last night. I think the rookie class showed really well too.

I just watched that first sack again, Brown's footwork is so slow. I think he is a liability.

So essentially he ranked last out of starting offfensive tackles as there are 64 starting tackles. Yet better than backups based off that. However, it gets back to my question whom should they have replaced him with then? While also keeping in mind how the Bengals leave their tackles on islands more than anymore else.

I agree Brown is probably their weak link on the line. I just think we probably would have ended up with someone worse who would struggle even more with what the Bengals want from their tackles.

So it seems the answer may lie more with the Bengals changing their scheme up some to help their tackles a little more especially Brown, rather than replacing him.

I hear you. Can the Bengals change their line strategy to better take advantage of strengths and hide weaknesses?

My other thought is - who in the NFL needs a defensive lineman that has an abundance of offensive tackles?
