The game will be June 8th at Montgomery Co. High School. There should be around 35 players on each team.

 

Coach McGlone from Russell will coach the East team this year.

Last year there were about 3 from each school. Each school's coach made the selection. I can't wait to see some names.

I havent heard of anyone getting their letters. I didnt think they were coming out until April. Some players might not be able to make the game because of commitments with college or another sport etc. To my knowledge there has been no players on this end to get a letter.

Last years game was hard fought. Kids with only one week stepped up and played/hit very hard ..... If Ivan is Coaching we are going ... Likely we are going either way ...

Coach Vanderhoof said that Raceland has not been contacted yet about this game. This was as early as last week before the baseball team left. If letters have went out it hasnt made it to the Raceland players yet.

The Raceland players have received their letters. Beach, Grizzle, and Forrest were the only three invited. I personally think the Rams got the shaft. I would have thought Thompson and Mullins would have also made the team. Im disappointed in whoever chose the players. But congrats to the three who made the team, you all deserve it!

The head coach of each area team, choses the players from their own team. Each coach was asked to nominate 3 players from their team. Once letters go out and kids decline and more nominations are made, there will be more than 3 players from some teams. Kids should not be disappointed if they have not received a letter yet, another round of invites will probably go out to teams that have more than 3 all star caliber players, like Raceland or Russell for example.

I certainly think you are right but the players that were invited deserve to be on that list. It is my hope after the season Raceland had and the fact of the boys you named making all area and all district get to share in this together. Congratulations to our three outstanding Rams that made it and we will keep our fingers crossed that more are invited to the list.

Kasey Clark of Russell will be practicing in Lexington for the Ky/Tenn All-Star game that week. I wish they would consider changing the date in the future so that it doesn't conflict with other All-Star game and most importantly the KY/Tenn All-Star Game. I'm sure Kasey would really like to play in the NEKY game with his teammates and peers from other schools but won't be able to because of the dates conflicting. They should really consider this when setting a date in the future.

That wasn't very smart on the part of whoever set the date.
