February 11, 200719 yr I think you can make a case for Tiki to get in, but I do not think he is a lock. Personally, without doing any research or comparisons I have to say NO. Good player, good stats, (I think this was asked earlier), how do his stats rank with those that are in? HB20, c'mon bud, chime in here and make Tiki's case for the HOF.
February 11, 200719 yr Love him but I can't see it when you look at those around him on the rushing list.

February 12, 200719 yr No he didn't produce until 2 years ago he is still 2 years of playing to get in the hall.
February 12, 200719 yr Yes.....I would vote him in, for on the field...and for being a tremendous ambassador for the NFL.
February 12, 200719 yr No he didn't produce until 2 years ago he is still 2 years of playing to get in the hall. He's had over 1200 yards rushing for the past 5 seasons, and I believe he's had at or around 500 yards rec. those years as well. That's more than 2 yars of production...

The only negative or Tiki is his number of touches but other than that his numbers are great.
February 12, 200719 yr Author Here ya go Half... http://www.yaledailynews.com/articles/view/19422 Giants’ Tiki is clearly worthy of Canton
February 12, 200719 yr Author If we let mediocre players like Barber into the hall of fame, it will tarnish the prestige of the hall because most players with a good career will get in. To keep the prestige of the hall, you must have a great career to get in. The facts are, Barber was a late bloomer and an early finisher. He doesnt deserve the hall of fame. He didnt put up the numbers long enough to deserve it. He will always be known as a good player, maybe even great the past couple of seasons. Barber wasnt great enough for a long period of time to be worthy. He is in the Hall of Very good.
February 12, 200719 yr Author I don’t believe you can just look at numbers. Again, with all due respect, but Tiki Barber in the football Hall of Fame?! And I’m a Giants fan, but please! We are all so anxious to see “the greatest ever” at anything that we pump athletes up to incredible stature before they have ever done a thing. Can you say Tony Romo? Hall of Fames should be left for the best of the best, not just the best or pretty good for four or five years. Can an athlete even have a successful career anymore without getting into a Hall? http://ccww.wordpress.com/2006/12/20/nfl-parity-or-mediocrity/

Tiki Barber owns nearly every record for the Giants, a very storied franchise. One of the oldest teams in the NFL today. Not only that, but he's up there in total yardage with the best of them, and has had some of the best seasons EVER in regards to total yards. In the past few years, I don't believe anyone has more total yards than he does.
February 12, 200719 yr Author ^Past few years maybe...The HOF is a career thing, not a last few years of career thing.
