North Oldham made a barrage of threes and St. X did a poor job guarding them. Rondo for North Oldham had a good game getting to the basket and finishing.

Hard to beat a team hot from three especially if don't get out on the shooters. On to Male Friday. Hopefully see good sportsmanship from both teams.

I think North Oldham came ready to play and played much better than when St. X beat them in KOB tourney. 6 days to prepare for this game probably helped as well.

Huge win for the Mustangs !!!

I am getting the feeling the Tigers aren't making it out of the region this season.

It's only their second lost to a Ky. team this season.  Male lost tonight also, for what it's worth.

Could North and St X both be considered heavy favorites for the Chip?  Well we knew St X and Male were a power in the 7th, but is North Oldham somebody that can get the 8th region a good showing at Rupp. I know it's January, but if they are shooting like this, and continue to play at this level, I'm thinking everyone else in the region is playing runner up.  Just my opinion

North Oldham has been heavy favorites to win the 8th all year. I did think the gap closed a lot between them and the field when Austin Sears left but then I saw score and WOW!!!!

North Oldham lost to J-Town 74-49 before this win. If they can shoot like did in this game they can go far but probably not going to shoot this well every game. It won't be easy for St. X to get out of the 7th because they have had close games with Male and Ballard that could have been losses.

Don't forget Woodford County and S Oldham.

Woodford County, S Oldham, and maybe Spencer County could play into the equation.  It's still early.

Yes. On any given night I could see of those 3 teams giving North a game.  However, the Mustangs are really good and will go into each region game this rest of this season as the favorites.
