I agree with Tiger1, he must get into basketball shape, I don't think his legs are anywhere near 100% at this point. I believe they have 4 games in the regular season, then they would have 2 games in districts before regionals begin. That would give him 8 full games to get at full strength.

I understand what you are saying, but at what cost if there is a chance of re-injuring the foot it just is not worth it.

There is always a chance he could re-injure the same foot or possibly get hurt somewhere else. Coach Steiner knows what he is doing and will make an appropriate decision regarding the team and Mike.

Actually I am going to disagree with you on shutting down Hester till post-season. This would not be smart as Mike needs to get back into basketball shape and real game situations. Coming back from an injury is as much a mental thing as well as physical, and he needs these remaining games to get used to playing again and to gain his confidence back.

:thumb: Absolutley!!! Agree with everything you say. You cant continue to sit him out until tourny time and just bring him back and expect him to perform at a high level. He has to get back into the swing of things before you can expect him to lead this team into the regionals. Im sure if hes cleared to play than the chance of him re-injuring that foot isnt too much. The way he looked in the Shelby game he needs to play now and get back into the groove of things.

I agree that I would be playing him, but I probably would have brought him back a little slower. I wouldn't have given him as many minutes in the first couple games as he had, and then I would give him more each game to ease him back.

Played well tonight against Campbell Co. So that's good news.
