Texans 30 Steelers 6 (Wild Card Playoffs)

Featured Replies

Final. A total dominating performance by the Texans defense in spite of 3 terrible Stroud turnovers.

@Voice of Reason Rankins was a bust for us but he had an injury and then an illness.  Too bad we didn't hang on to him.

True on both points. He was really bad though when he did play. Maybe playing hurt caused that.

Defensive battle for most of the game.

Steelers defense was hard to figure this year. The stats say not good but they found a way to keep the scores low enough to get the wins to make the playoffs.

I thought the Steelers downfall tonight was they gave up on the running game. The Texans just kept grinding in the running game. The Steelers should have done the same.

Also at the bottom of that stat Rodgers was 11-10 in the playoffs all-time and if he does not play again he finishes at .500 at 11-11 in the playoffs.

I told you at the beginning of the year, the Steelers have become like the Marvin Lewis Bengals with Dalton. Good enough to make playoffs, but never a true threat to do much once there. Tomlin is now tied with Marvin Lewis with the most consecutive playoffs losses of 7.

I would not be surprised if Tomlin and the Steelers part ways this week, and both look for fresh starts. Which would mean three new head coaches in the Division.

Which if they do make a move I think it would be the DC Minter with the Chargers or Flores with the Vikings.

I have not really watched the Texans much this year, but man their defense is amazing.  If Stroud can cut down on the mistakes, they truly have a team that can win it all.

According to ESPN with last night's 24 point loss the Steelers became the only team now in NFL history to lose 5 straight playoff games by double digits.
