This 2 v 3 matchup will take place in Hopkinsville in round 1 of the 6A playoffs. Hopkinsville comes in winners of 3 straight & beat W.E.B DuBois 37-13 Friday night. Led by do it all SR RB James Bradley Jr (1187 yards rushing, 29 Total TD’s) the Tiger offense is explosive in the run game & the passing game.

Daviess County comes in off a huge win against Apollo 34-28 and is playing their best football at the right time. They are led by Jace Hunt, Ridge Roberts, and Hunter Corbin on offense. They have a very solid defense.

Common opponents are:

Christian County

DC won 60-7-HHS won 48-13

Henderson County

DC lost 7-6-HHS won 31-29

South Warren

DC lost 49-14-HHS lost 33-21.

The winner gets a rested South Warren in round 2. The loser gets started on basketball season and in the case of Hoptown, a loss ends the history of this historic program.

This will be a very good game, but I have DC winning 30-27. In the beginning of the season I would have said Hoptown wins, but as the season has come along DC is becoming a more complete team. DC offense has found their identity with utilizing Roberts and hunt, the past 4 games they have played they have passed for 190+ each game. Daviess defense is also very underrated with Hunt, Coffey, Corbin, and Higinbotom. This defense makes big plays, gives the team juice and I don't think Hoptown has seen a def like it since South warren. Problem with Daviess is they are inconsistent, having lost to Meade, hendo, and close game with Mclean.  They are on a high after the Apollo win, but can't take Hoptown lightly or Bradley and Mccarley could have big games.

I think DC can win. I am worried about them still high on the Apollo win. If they are they need to come down from them clouds. I think DC wins 28-21.
