Probably down to Ohtani (are the voters tired of him yet) and Schwarber, (who will lose a few votes for being a DH).

Ohtani by a large margin.  Schwarber does get a downgrade in terms of total contribution.

I'd give it to Kyle Schwarber.   Dodgers were going to win even without Ohtani.

To me it does.  If your team was going is still a prohibitive favorite without you, you aren't as "valuable" as the player that lifts the team and makes them a lot better.

If it's just who's the most valuable to MLB, then there is no debate, it's always going to be a Dodger or Yankee/Met...a player in the largest money making markets in the sport.

It's not the Most Valuable in a monetary sense, the MVP should always go to the best player for that single season. A player shouldn't be penalized because he's on a great team, especially not in baseball where and individuals skill determines their impact on a game more than any other team sport.

Then change the name of the award.  Your best player isn't always your most valuable.

Phillies won more games than the Dodgers and also have a loaded roster.  Not to mention we haven’t even factored in Ohtani’s pitching.  I personally like Schwarber better, but Ohtani should be MVP and it shouldn’t be close.
