Trinity 14 Saint Xavier 7 (Frosh)

Featured Replies

Trinity scored with :21 left in 4th quarter to take lead. St. X had two costly fumbles which one of them set up short field for Trinity's first score. Was bad ending as Trinity went to midfield and jumped on X instead of lining up to shake hands. After that St. X left the field with high tensions. First time I've seen an ending like that at frosh level. Should make it interesting when they play again on 10/11.

Final from Poplar Level Road.

Disappointing ending.

That does not fly.  Those responsible had better be getting not only an earful but a tangible punishment from the Staff.  I expect better of my Rocks.  Celebration is one thing, disrespecting your rival is another.

Uncalled for and classless.

Apologies to the Xaverians.

I am guessing the personal foul late on St Xavier got the Trinity folks riled up. I agree the Trinity staff must do a better coaching job on how you win with class and lose with class. I understand the stream cut out with ten seconds to play.  I am confident Dr. Mullen, (former Trinity president) who was there, will share some thoughts with current president and the athletic director.
I was happy St Xavier charged $7.00 online with no fees. Based on recent history, Trinity will be charging $8.00 cash on 10/9 for the rematch. If you show up at Trinity on 10/11, you will miss it. ☘️?

Have heard from multiple sources at the game and on the field this was not a Trinity-only issue and is being blown out of proportion. The Trinity kids were excited (near midfield in the line) at the end of the game due to the close nature of the game and the X coaches appeared still angry at the defenseless receiver penalty that set up the last TD.

Either way this is not how we want the best rivalry in Kentucky at any level, certainly.

I was there and if St. X did what Trinity did I would not be happy but I'm sure the administration officials of both schools will address it and it won't happen again and hopefully will be good sportsmanship by both teams next time they play.

I seriously hope we do not have a "leadership Issue".
