Louisville vs Georgetown - Predictions

Featured Replies

Who do you like in this one? GTown is going to be a very tough test for the cards. This would be a huge win for their resume. I'm still undecided on who gets the W.

I like the Pitino-speak heading into this one.

"Louisville fans are getting ready to see the best team come into Freedom Hall this year."

Tht is funny right there...I'd imagine Tom Crean got a chuckle out of that.

Have to say I would have agreed with him before the season started but Marquette is hands down a better team IMO.

Had to do a quick edit, I forgot about Marquette...

I also don't put too much stock into games that early in the season.

Say like UK over UL in Freedom Hall by double digits?;)

Seriously, GTown is a solid club, it is that Pitino speak that I always get a chuckle out of.

He said the Life kid from UMass would be the best three point shooter UL will see all year.

I blame that one on a young team mixed with horrific shooting.:creepy: I agree though, I always do get a laugh out of Pitino when he speaks. It's hard to sort out sometimes what he's actually trying to do with what he's saying. It seems like there is always an ulterior motive to the things he says. Back to the game, I think Louisville gets it going behind the home crowd, The Ville by 5.

G-Town by 12....I hope I am wrong.

Inconsistent shooting against very consistent shooting. I'll go with RP on this one...

Both teams have been very inconsistent this year so you never know what you're going to get. GTown has 5 losses this year, Old Dominion, Oregon, 'Nova, @ Duke, @ Pitt. Out of those 5, their worst loss was to Old Dominion, go figure...

Georgetown 68-64.

Some of my favorite Pitino quotes:

"UL will always be a top 20 team. We'll never slip from that ever again" said after 2005 Final Four.

"I am not going to play anyone unless they shoot over 75% from the foul line."

"We wrote a contract for him (Caracter) when he went home (that) if we allowed him to come back he signed his contract and I am not keeping him out at all. He is breaking the contract himself. I don't suspend players, I don't believe in that I don't keep players out."

and just this past week "The reason this league doesn't show well in the RPI rankings is there are very few teams in this league that play a very tough non-conference schedule because they realize the conference is such a killer."

I think he's lost his mind.

Another week, another experience of trying to watch Dayton and Louisville at the same time.

Louisville needs this one. If Williams can control himself, Louisville's got a real shot to knock off the Hoyas.

I'll take Georgetown by eight. We'll see.
