Extremely sloppy game won by the Wildcats, starting a new home winning streak. 'Breds led by 11 going into the fourth quarter, but PC made good run to take control. Kane Belcher had a nice night for the Cats. It was a ugly win, but still a district win for the Cats.

Not that a district win means anything when they draw for the tournament. This has gotten to be a bad pattern for the Breds as of late. Losing a big second half lead to Boyd County, almost totally collapsing in the final 4 1/2 minutes against Franklin County and now blowing a 10 point lead going into the 4th quarter. It gets to the point of almost waiting to see how it will happen. Hopefully the homecourt advantage win help in the District Tournament.

Simms and company almost snuck out the win at the MCIT, so this is a good win for the cats, nice job!

Another choke for the Breds...

My definition would be to blow a big lead and lose a game that you had well in control. I don't think Harrison has players who are choking. To me its more like a team that lacks confidence under pressure and is more worried about not losing the game than what they are about finding a way to win the game. After a couple of times. it becomes a mind game. Losses like this are hard on the players, coaches and fans. Basketball in High School is a 32 minute game and you have to be ready to play all 32 minutes. Winning the first 24 is not enough. It's a mindset thats hard to break once you lose a couple like this. Harrison and Pendleton have played twice and both games were close. This should make for an interesting showdown in the District whether a first round game or for the Championship.

Yes they did. I could be wrong, but I think that they are hosting it the next few years as well.

Yes Harrison County did host the District last year. All schools voted when the district re-aligned that Harrison County would be the host school for the District for 5 years because their gym is bigger.

Well the Breds should know what choking is by now. That is 3 games (just that I know of) that they have given up sizeable (10+ points) leads late in the game. The Boyd County game (in which I was 1 of about 50 in attendance), the Franklin County that they won by 2 after being up 30+, and last nights game with Pendleton County in which the Breds were up 11 going into the 4th quarter. I wasn't at the PC game but was able to listen to the end of it on WCYN.
