Ohio is bringing Aiken to Lloyd Memorial on Friday night. Don’t know anything about Aiken but as always, I’ll take the Juggs. I would love to hear it if anybody knows anything about Aiken.

Aiken is in Division II..Ohio's second largest classification. They make the 20 min drive to Erlanger from College Hill. They are 3-0 so far this year with a point differential similar to Lloyd's. They have handled their opponents up to this point appropriately but with their last game being closer than it probably should have been at 24-20 over Reading, per on3.

Aiken is led by Sr. QB Andre Underwood. Underwood and a few of his fellow Falcons have some small colleges interested in them. Underwood is a good athlete that does well at getting the ball to his playmakers and can make something happen with his legs. He can let it fly vertically and has some guys that will make plays on the ball. Not the most natural throwing motion but there is a position for him at some college at some level somewhere. Aiken has some good athletes on the O and D lines as well as the skill positions and of course they have some speed, along with some length.

Aiken's defense has only surrendered 20 points so far this year, all coming last week. That tells me that they have kids that play hard and run to the ball.

They are not going to be timid and will look to be the intimidator rolling into Erlanger. They definitely will look to throw the first punch and probably think it will be a knockout, not literally. But they will play with an edge. Like Tyson once said, everyone has a game plan until they get punched in the mouth, then what?

My assessment of Aiken is that they are a pretty decent football program right now. They have had their up and down years but are currently trending upwards. They are not going to compete with the big name schools in Cincinnati but handle themselves well against everyone else. Sound similar to a school in NKY?

It does sound similar. Do you think Lloyd has a chance? Also, if anybody makes it to the game, don’t forget to stop by the Tailgate and say hi to dirty Mike and the boys.

I think they stand 0 chance, ?. It wouldn't feel right to hop on the Lloyd bandwagon now, that things getting pretty full.

I'll take Lloyd.  Aiken has played nobody.  While their records are identical, Lloyd hammered NCC, which is way better than anyone Aiken has played.

Aiken used to regularly play a team or two from NKY 10-15 years ago. They had a 2 year series with Scott in 14 and 15 when Scott was on the way up. Aiken wasn't very good then and Scott beat them pretty badly. They used to play their home games at Stargell Stadium which was torn down to make way for FC Cincinnati's field. From what I understand, they improved and have had competitive teams as of late beating teams they should and losing to the better teams they play, usually badly. I would expect this game to maybe competitive for a quarter or two, but I think Lloyd will roll.

Give me Lloyd over Aiken in a close one 21-20.

Yeah I don't think Aiken has seen a team as polished as Lloyd is right now either. Not just from a skill standpoint but they have played clean, penalty and turnover free football. They have looked determined and focused. Bravo to Lloyds coaches and players it doesn't just happen like that over night. Now it's time to rinse and repeat.

Alot of impressive scores so far but they really haven't even had the chance to open up their offense until last week due to their defense and special teams dominating their opponents in weeks 1 an 2. I would like to see them jump out on Aiken early and never let them have a chance of hope. They let Conner creep back in and make it seem like some what of a game when it really wasn't but they did handle business accordingly.

Lloyd's offense is going to do what it does. Will be interesting to see how prepared Aiken is to not let Barger take the top off the defense. With some game film out there that should help prepare them. Don't think they will be able to stop him regardless because Lloyds OC is schemin and beamin. Lloyd has a plethora of WR's that haven't even really been seen yet that will make plays when their number is called.

I would like to see Lloyds defense match their offense and be dominant for the whole game. I think if Lloyds MLB #7 D. Peterson can finish the game the way he starts it then they won't have any issues holding Aiken to 14 points or less. He has the ability to take away the middle of the field but has to be able to sustain his abilities once offenses start running him sideline to sideline. I've noticed he starts the game off laying the wood but fades as the game goes on. that's something he has to fix himself the coaches can't do it for him. If he can start start stacking FULL games on each other that kid is going to be a huge problem. They have a really nice combination of LB's that's led by Tomlinson.

Need to see Lloyd's secondary improve. I think they will have some chances tonight to make plays and they need to capitalize on those opportunities. They should pull this one out even if some plays are made through the air by Aiken but they need to get that sewn up sooner rather than later.

Give me Lloyd 42-16.

Who is Lloyd's OC these days?

⌨️ "CalPreps" power ratings are similar for Aiken and New Cath.
