I do agree about the benefits. Just seems like the breakaway of both Russell and Greenup aligns with many NEKY also dropping Raceland. Both East and West Carter also dropped the Rams. The arguments I have heard are deeper than just losing players, at least not in the surface. I hope the rivalries are renewed soon, for the benefit of the area.

East Carter is back in the schedule this year in Week 10. Ashland remains.  The argument and unity abound area schools seems to more fallacy more then reality. May be more “can't beat them, so I’m taking by ball and going home”.

of course, the longer it goes on, I think maybe having to schedule elsewhere is probably better for the Rams. Raceland lined up against Highlands for several years. No other local team agrees to that willingly. Raceland is playing a 6A team this week. Sure, not top tear, but are playing them. Other local teams aren’t doing that. Playing the other top Class 1A teams:  Pikeville, Hazard and NCC. Other schools in the area are scheduling down, not up.

Yep, Raceland is becoming stronger annd trying to win State Championships.  Many area teams are try to win the regular season championship.

Trinity's stat report shows a pick-six, a scoop and score, a kick-off return score, and SIX offensive touchdowns on SEVEN snaps. That's efficiency on a level I don't think I've ever seen before.

  • To be honest, Raceland has trouble getting teams to schedule them and I would say this game was a matter of convenience.  Personally, I like it because these two teams have never played.     Mo

I would love to tell you who those “good athletes” are, but PRP still hasn’t put last week’s stats in.
