St. X Strikes me as a solid #2 in 6A after the first week.

Featured Replies

That looked to me like a solid team out there against Owens week one, backing up the scrimmage result against FD.

Trinity on paper is still my #1 until proven otherwise, and sadly, the "Beating a Baby Seal" PRP game doesn't show us much.

Going to be a great year for both teams, I think.  Here's looking to them landing on opposite sides of the bracket for a potential showdown if fate has it in the cards.

Still, one game at a time, it is a long road to get there.

Go Rocks!

They could be #2 but Manual has beaten St. X the last two years in close games and Manual looks very good so won't get clarity in this matchup until later in the season.

Nothing in week 1 changed my mind.

6A Top Tier = Trinity, Ryle, St. X and Manual.

2nd Tier = Male, South Warren and FD

Wishing they were in one of those tiers = Ballard, Oldham County, Simon Kenton

Wondering what the heck has happened in the universe = Bryan Station, Eastern, PRP and McCracken County.

Should of mentioned Ryle also as #2 but at least St. X split with them last year but St. X needs to get those Crimsons off their back which won't be easy.

I think it is close @RolandGS and my thoughts are probably close to yours:

1. Rocks
2. Tigers
3. Raiders

On paper it was a split but in reality Ryle crushed X into oblivion in the playoffs.

I think to be more precise it comes down to Ryle or St. Xavier at #2.   @MBKT gave it to us straight in his overview of 6A.

Ya'll really are giving the current FD team too much credit. We aren't a 2nd tier team until we can consistently score. Right now, we cannot score to keep up w South Warren or Male.

I have a hard time putting St. X over Ryle, after seeing Ryle demolish them in the playoffs last year. Ryle has the majority of their team back, and now there is also no mental edge for St. X over Ryle either as in previous years. Since Ryle clearly knows they can compete and beat the Louisville teams.
