ESPN today announced a landmark rights agreement as ESPN platforms, including the new ESPN direct-to-consumer streaming service, will become the exclusive U.S. domestic home of all WWE Premium Live Events (PLEs), including the two-night cultural phenomenon WrestleMania, starting in 2026. This deal makes ESPN home to the highest-profile WWE events of the year.

5-year deal worth a total of $1.65 billion.  

The present deal with Peacock was also a 5-year deal worth $900 million.

For a company that is backed by Disney, who is struggling since the launch of their streaming service, and who itself cried financial trouble when they started firing people left and right, where is all this money coming from?
