I’ve been watching the TBT this summer and enjoying all of the college alumni teams being represented and it got me thinking. What types of alumni squads could Kentucky high schools put together? Who do you think would take home the hardware in an alumni tournament?

Is there a time frame or is it all players at that school in their prime? Dave Cowens was much better for the Celtics than in school.

What I had in mind was if we were to get these teams together and play games tomorrow.

That's an interesting question.  It would probably come down to what teams have produced the most college players in the last few years.  You'd need a decent mix of size and shooting ability.  

I'm more familiar with the 12th region than the other regions in the state.  I can't think of a 12th region team that has consistently played at the very top level in the state over the last few years.  There have been some good teams and players but given your question I don't think they could compete.  

Trinity had three guys on the roster for Louisville's alumni team but only two actually suited up - Jay Scrubb ('18) and David Johnson ('19). Raymond Spalding ('15) I don't believe was able to make it. Trinity has had, I believe, 15 players play DI since 2004-ish. And upwards for 40 now (I believe) play in college. A lot of talent you could pick from.

Ballard has had a lot of good players over the years but two of the best off the top on my head is Allan Houston and DeJuan Wheat. Could win a few games with those two.

In their prime, for sure.  I thought the OP meant guys who could suit up today.  Both of those guys are in their 50’s so that might be a factor.  
 

Maybe Clay County could pull Richie out of retirement……..

I was thinking all time but agree they would probably be too old today.

That’s an interesting topic to discuss as well.  
 

if you went for the all time team it would probably be dominated by Louisville and Lexington teams with a challenge put up by teams from Bowling Green and Northern KY.  Male could put Griffith and Winston Bennett on the floor, just off the top of my head.

Since we're talking all time you'd have Jeff Lamp and Jerry Eaves on that Ballard team as well.  Lamp played 6 years in the NBA and was an All American at UVA.  Eaves played for 4 years in the NBA.
