I am a sucker for teams that never seem to have a good season, like Fulton City. I looked at their roster from last year and noticed they had a couple of 7th and 8th graders on their team. The 8th graders got a lot of playing time from what I hear. I would like to see these guys stay together and do something good for a couple of seasons. Can I get an Amen on that?

I would just like to see them cut down the nets just once. C'mon, you know it would be awesome.

These are the most significant transfers impacting Region 1 this year:

-Miles Woodfork (Sr). PT to McCracken.  A pure scorer and can do it a lot of different ways.  His lefty floater is outstanding

-Caden Fulcher (Jr). McCracken to Graves.  An all-around solid player.  The Eagles have tons of quality guards this year. 
-Jacobi Nichols (Soph). Madisonville to St. Mary.  He didn’t play a huge role for the Maroons as a Freshman but I guarantee you he’ll play a big one for the Vikings this season.  I think he’s 6-6.

-Acey Stricklin (Jr)  Murray to Calloway.  One of the best dunkers in the 1st region.  The Lakers lost a ton to graduation and he will help out.

I got a chance to see the rankings from the UK Basketball Yearbook.  Pick it up if you want to get some commentary.

1-McCracken, 2-Marshall, 3-Graves, 4-Carlisle, 5-St. Mary, 6-Murray, 7-Mayfield, 8-Calloway, 9-CFS, 10-Ballard

A little surprised to not see Tilghman on the list but there are lots of unknowns with that team.  Otherwise I think these rankings are pretty good.

Agree, hard to figure out where to put them. I think you could put them at 9 or 10 but not much higher than that. Now by the end of the year they could be higher. 

I was looking at Tilghman's roster on the KHSAA's website today (10/21/25)  and Woodfork is still listed on their roster as a Senior. There are several names listed that were not on there last season so I'm guessing that the list is not from last year. Hopefully he has not transferred. 

I’m pretty sure Woodfork is enrolled at McCracken.  I don’t have any firsthand knowledge but I assume he has been cleared to play his Senior year there.  
Sports are different these days.

He has transferred and has been cleared to play @ McCracken.
