2025 Madison Central Indians

Madison Central Indians ?

2024 Outcome: 7-5, lost in a region final to Frederick Douglass

2025 Outlook: After a last place district finish a year ago, the Indians rebounded to outlast GRC and Bryan Station before falling to the Broncos. That would be an incredible result in 2025 for a team that must replace several pivotal players from last season, including their leading rusher, receiver, tackler, pass rusher, and defensive back.

? Carson Herbst QB (1,000 yards of total offense/15 TDs) | Corinthian Barnes RB (401 rushing yards) | Landon Muncy, Lathan Koher (OL) | Derek McElwee LB (76 tackles/5 sacks) | Carter Hager LB (41 tackles)

Can the Indians hang with the talent factory in Lexington or a Station program in a transitional phase? Will they at least overtake GRC, which has struggled to take the next step under Joe Chirico? Or will they lag behind again, forced to salvage another season with multiple wins in November?

Anyone have additional insight on a schedule? All I've got so far is...

Aug 29 at Johnson Central
Sep 26 vs. Great Crossing

It's a safe assumption that Madison Southern fits in here somewhere. Frederick Douglass, Bryan Station, and GRC will comprise the district slate.

Madison Central played a nine game schedule last year. I would imagine they're aiming for a full ten games this season.

I believe I saw that they are opening up the season against Conner in the Roy Kidd Bowl. I may need to double check that, but I am about 85% positive I saw that on Conner's schedule.
