  • If by one and done you mean a team full of freshmen, I completely agree. I think that's already obvious.  We are living in a different one and done era now, in the form of the transfer portal.

I really want Houston to win but I don’t see it happening.

Old model vs new model. One and done/talent vs portal/experience. Duke starting 5 NBA draft picks, #1 pick generational level talent, a lottery pick and another first rounder, all freshmen.

Duke is playing out of their element. Credit Houston for that.

Duke has come out of the timeout and has gone on an 8-0 run of their own.

Duke is up 34-28 at the half. In the last 2:36 Houston outscored Duke 11-6. Houston has to be fairly happy to only be down 6. They have the game at the pace they want just need to shoot it better.

It is now 50-42 Duke at the under 16 timeout. There is 13:30 left to play.

Duke hasn’t been able to put Houston away though.

And Houston has missed plenty of easy shots too.

Houston has made this game with 4:37 to play and for the first time since the Kentucky game Flagg looked tentative with the ball on offense. Duke 59-55 with 4 minutes to play.

66-61 Duke with 1:14 to play but Tugler reached across the endline and touched the ball which is a technical foul.

Chris Weber can be forgiven for his technical foul, my goodness.

Duke gave Houston a chance, they just couldn't take advantage of it.

Duke/Florida here we go!
