I agree, I think it is Suttons to loose at this point. Good young up and coming coach with good knowledge for the game. I believe Scott Humphrey got his first head coaching job around the same age. Is that right Jay Bilias?? Also you cant coach in the greenup school system if you are in an adminstrative position. Mills is the vice principle.

 

 

Is this a Greenup County rule? If so, this would be deemed an emergency situation and only a temporary position. Since Hicks is still getting paid, they probably aren't paying Sutton, so it would be voluntary. (All I said was just reading between the lines, from a outsider giving you possibilities!!! You can take or leave anything I said)

Coach Sutton will be an awesome coach for Greenup Co. He has a long history with the school. He played on a regional championship team and runner up team for Greenup under coach Ward. I guess the question is will we start seeing a little more Ward ball at Greenup Co?

I believe the Coach Marty Mills is currently coaching basketball on the Shawnee State University staff. I believe they are 3rd in their conference with a legit chance to make the national tournament. I'm not sure he would want to give up that position to go coach at G.C. during all this controversy!

Then you obviously don't realize the politics of GC schools. The fact is that both the AD and Super can leave at any time as they are both past retirements. Neither one of them have a thing to lose at this point. It's much like when a lame duck president is in his final term, he'll make appointments and pardons that end up just ticking off the incoming party. Seriously I truly believe that the whole GC system needs an enema to flush it out of all the political corruption. I would not be surprised if a federal/state agency rears its head here soon in Lloyd.

I agree with you totally another school had to do as you call it an enema flush. You are right it does happen. You would be surprised how things calm down when you dont have to go through the family tree to get some assistance or help.

yes there have been examples when federal agencies have came in to clean up school systems. Currently it is going on in the Fayette County , WVa. schools. I can asure you it would certainly be interesting what a group like this could find in the GC Schools.

Not true, there is no written rule stating that an administrator could not coach in the system.

That is true now that I think about it. I have a friend in the western half of the state who is Vice-Principal and also head coach of the golf team and track. But, I guess those are just minor sports and don't matter when it comes to the Big 3 (Football, Basketball, and Baseball) in the eyes of administrators.

This sounds like a circus. How are the kids holding up under the constant turmoil? They seemed to have been forgotten in the politics.
