Campbell County 68 Covington Catholic 48

Campbell is on an upward trajectory, and that’s to be expected. Everything moving in the right direction. To beat CovCath by 20 under any conditions is incredible.

With that said and not to take away from the win, this CovCath team, while extremely talented, hardworking and well-coached, lacks depth worse than probably any CovCath team since 2008/2009 maybe. This result does not surprise me when taking into account McGillis did not play. This is a top heavy roster and they can’t afford injury, illness, or foul trouble to their core in a must win game.

Couple grammar errors there, I knew that ?. S or no S he is a problem and only scratching the surface. I said it a while back, OTE will be calling.

Wow.  If there was a NKY Poll each week, CovCath would have been 2, I'd guess, where would the Camels have been?  Top 5 in NKY before tonight?  Lower?

This question will get answered soon enough. Campbell has 7 games coming up against 9th region opponents.

Another balanced night for the Camels Garyn Jackson. 15 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Young man is simply a consistent player.

Very smooth. Plays at a great pace & doesn’t force things. Love his game.

4. No recruiting comments or allegations of KHSAA rules violations by any school, coach, player or booster are allowed. No comments about where any player lives, has lived, or where they are from in a recruiting context. This is not the place to report KHSAA violations. Feel free to contact Kentucky High School Athletic Association | KHSAA – Student-athletes of Today, Leaders of Tomorrow to report such violations, but do not discuss violations here.

I missed it somehow, but what happened to McGillis?  Is he hurt?

Sick. CCH will bounce back tough to play without your leading scorer. He opens up the rest of the team with how teams have to defend him. Campbell guards played really well on both ends of the floor.

Only 3 made three pointers for CCH doesn’t help. Great preparation for the regional.
Playing at Campbell is always a battle. Great atmosphere with 2 teams that get after it.
