Not to take anything away from Driver, he's a really good athlete, but for a high school player to have 9 blocks in a 32 minute game is indicative of either poor coaching or poor decision making on the part of his opponent.  Driver tries to block every single shot he can get to.  Have they not heard of a head fake?

Driver 18 & 10 and Tut 21 & 13. Sounds like good games by both bigs but West just didn’t get much help otherwise.

I still think Boyle has more to work with and I would argue outside of a couple teams, maybe the more than the remainder. This West team won 3 games last year. To me it was going to be about how much Tut could do for them. While he did a lot better last night than his averages for the year. I think the reality for them is that they just don’t have enough talent to be much better than that 8-10 range in the region..

Sorry, I didn’t see that Thornton also had 14 for West. 

Vandy and Michigan football were in attendance to watch Driver. He's already been offered by Michigan, and left with an offer from Vanderbilt. 

I thought West had a guard with D1 offers for basketball.  Is he still there?

Yes, and a solid HS PG but if he’s a D1 guard (that isn’t paying his way) I’m Jason Williams in his hay day!

In the preseason 12th region thread it said he had 3 D1 offers but looks like 4th leading scorer averaging 7 ppg so I have no clue. The last D1 scholarship player from 12th region was Trevon Faulkner and Mr Basketball.  Not very many D1 players from 12th region in last 20 years.

Was Fitzgerald from Pulaski after Faulkner?  I lose track of when these guys played.
