That's what I've always called the kids that grow way too fast and are too awkward and just look goofy doing anything because they haven't grown into their newly giant frame.  And they look like baby deer running around, flailing their arms and legs and falling over.

Yeah I get it totally. I have used the term baby giraffe for the same.

    I've personally seen Dixie on the football field probably 30 times in the past 35 years. The past 3 seasons, to me, looked to have been the most in-shape, fast, and athletic teams that I can remember

  • Scouting us was easy this past season. Undersized and inexperienced up front, stop Armani Gregg, and put the game on a QB’s shoulders we couldn’t protect. Defensively we lost a really good coordinator

  • Nice addition for Dixie.

Was he LaSalle's DC last year?  They had a pretty solid defense last year.

It was great to see most of the Dixie Coaching Staff at Turkeyfoot Middle School today talking to potential and current football players!

Awesome to hear.  Hopefully it keeps the talent in house.

Hearing great things about this young man. Who is expected to be his targets this year?

@New Colonel @CoachStew

I am also hearing about him, can’t wait to see what all his off season hard work translates to this year. Sounds like a great young man!

Not sure who his targets will be.  Keeping him protected will be key.  His mechanics and arm strength last year were extremely impressive.

They've got incoming seniors Golsby, Linville, and Morris returning.  Not sure if Brzygot and Gray will get any offensive snaps as they're back as starting DBs.  Will likely see some incoming juniors in Vonderhaar, Waters, and Wogenstahl (TE).  As mentioned, protection will be key as I see them opening the offense up even more this year as they don't have Armani back in the backfield.  They will have some capable backs, but not quite like Armani.  With Mason's skill set, you almost have to open up the offense.
