One week in the books, and it is clear the rumors of Holy Cross' demise were unfounded.  Some teams had some very impressive weeks, some had less than stellar starts to their season, and others gave us a clarifying look at where they were early in the campaign.  This week things start to get very interesting with a ton of great games, plus an unbelievable slate of games at Bellevue next Friday and Saturday.  Highlands' losing Marissa Green for a month or so certainly is unfortunate for Coach Walz and the Birds, but it could serve to get great experience for the rest of the team and that when she comes back her supporting cast is more ready to make a deep run at NKU.  Get out and see some Girls' Hoops this week!

2.  Notre Dame 3-0:  this week vs Seton (OH), vs Dixie at Bellevue

3.  Holy Cross 3-0:  at Highlands (really good game), vs Cooper (HUGE GAME), and vs Russell at Bellevue

4.  Simon Kenton 1-1:  this week vs St. Henry and at NewCath

5.  Highlands 2-1:  vs Holy Cross, vs Scott at Bellevue, and vs Valley at Oldham County.

6.  Campbell County 2-1:  vs NewCath, vs Ryle at Bellevue

7.  Bishop Brossart 3-0:  vs Mercy McAuley (OH), at Conner, and vs Dixie

8.  Dixie 1-2:  at Bishop Brossart, vs Notre Dame at Bellevue

9.  Ryle 0-3:  at Scott, vs Mt Notre Dame (OH), and vs Campbell County at Bellevue

10. NewCath 2-1:  at Campbell County, vs Simon Kenton, and at Oldenburg Academy (IN)

Cooper at Holy Cross tonight headlines the evening's slate of games!  Can HC bounce back?  Is Cooper still the class of the Region (or is NDA ready to ascend to the top spot)?  Can Holy Cross end their five-game losing streak to the Lady Jags? 

Should be a great crowd in Latonia tonight, hope anyone in attendance will be able to provide some details after the game (in its own thread, of course).
