Final per the Beechwood Authority.

Beechwood’s offense is so fun to watch! They have so many weapons! If  their defense can start playing better they will be hard to beat I don’t care who they play in 2a!

I knew it was crazy when I heard people saying they thought this game could be close! What a game by Chase Flaherty! 6 touchdowns.

Welcome back, Tyler Fryman! Got behind the defense for about a 60 yard TD on a bomb from Clay Hayden.

Run D looked better than it has in the past and from what I heard that BC team had a couple good RBs.

Ball was distributed well by Clay to all of his weapon. James Cusick had a bunch of big hits and a few nice catch & runs! Luke Erdman also had a few nice catch and runs and a sick interception in the endzone right before half to prevent a BC TD with 1 min to go which ultimately turned into a Beechwood score about 40 seconds later.

With their electric speed this is the only team IMO as I have said before with a punchers/speed chance to beat OC...that could be a interesting game and possible state final...

Any word on how the Sperry kid is? He was in a sling and from the hit, it looked like a shoulder or arm/elbow issue. I do believe he is a phenomenal basketball player so hopefully this injury doesn’t deter his senior season.

I was told dislocated elbow. Always sad to see a senior get injured. In the brief time he was on the field, his athleticism showed. I was looking forward to seeing more of him.

Late to the commentary on this game. Much of the highlights have been covered above.

Flaherty showed shiftiness and speed in what may have been the best game of his outstanding career. It felt like he made the first man miss on every carry, and usually the second and sometimes third man missed also. His footwork was just amazing. He was quick, shifty and showed his speed as well. I wonder how many times a Beechwood player has scored 6 TD's in a game?

Tyler Fryman eased his way back into action after missing most of the year due to an early season injury. Fryman looked like Fryman. A very nice sliding catch for his first reception. Speed on display as he went deep, got 10 yards behind the defenders and hauled in a TD pass that traveled 50 yards in the air. Welcome back Tyler!

Breathitt County is the best 2A team Beechwood has faced. I was impressed by their team speed. They have two fantastic freshmen in RB Eli Thomas and QB Miles Hollon. They are going to win a lot of games the next 3 years with those two. Breathitt County is a young team and will be a team to watch the next few years in 2A.

Breathitt is definitely a team whose record is deceiving. They were a very young team that started slow this year while the young guys got experienced. Then they really started to come on once Sperry started playing in week 6. They will miss Sperry and his big play ability, but they definitely are in good shape to have a nice run these next couple of years.
