Walton-Verona wins their third straight to earn the third seed. Walton moves to 4 and 5 on the year and 4 and 0 on the road. A nice turn around for them after starting the year 1 and 5.

Fun game to watch! WVs defense made Owen work for every single yard and that led to some frustration. Offensive line for WV had what looked to be one of their best nights! Good job WV!

Kudos to Coach Pence! First year coach, team sitting 1-5 and just lost a game 69-0. In danger of being one of the few teams in the state who does not make the playoffs. Where does a team go from there?

Coach Pence turned things around and leads the team to 3 straight wins. This win over Owen County, who came into the game at 6-3, was for the #3 seed in the district and WV gets the win. A win at Boone County this week gets the team to .500. If I am a Walton-Verona fan, I am getting excited about the future under Coach Pence.

I agree VoR, Walton made a great hire.

Walton is going to be good and better sooner than later in my opinion. They have gotten better already and this is a good win for them.
