Ohio County (0-8) at South Warren (7-1)

This will be the second meeting between these more recently formulated 5A District 2 opponents.  The scales couldn’t be more uneven here with South Warren one of the top teams in 5A and Ohio County one of the lower teams in 5A.

Ohio County Information

The Eagles of Ohio County just has not been able to get a lot going for them this season losing a combined 37-344 through 8 losses this season.  To be honest, they have really only been in one competitive game all year:  Week 2 at Todd County Central where the Rebels just barely clipped Ohio County 12-10.  But after that game it’s just been a tough go of it for the Eagles.  And this matchup just doesn’t look any better for Ohio County.

I would like to spotlight JR Carson Powers who leads the team in tackles with 53 on the year with 1 TFL and 2 sacks.  Nice job!

South Warren Information

The Spartans are coming off an amazing come from behind win, scoring 2 TDs in the final quarter to stun Rival Bowling Green 28-24.

QB Bryce Button played well in that game, but to me the WRs for South made some big catches.  Colton Veltcamp, Jay Carter, Kayden York really stepped up in my opinion.

Great win for the Spartans!  They will need their Freshman to finish out this game.

Game Information

This game will take place in Bowling Green at South Warren High School.  Ohio County asked for 8 minute quarters after the 1^st Quarter against BG.  I look for that to happen here as well.  Good luck to Ohio County going forward as I think they are voluntarily dropping out of district play for the next 2 seasons.

A whole bunch to not many. South Warren.

Tough go for Ohio County. Clock will run early.

Hopefully the Eagles can stay healthy and find their first win next week when they host their foe the Bears of Butler County who are also looking to put a one in the win column.

Spartans roll big in this one though.

Hopeful for no injuries, South rolls.
