5A South Laurel (5-2) at 5A Southwestern (3-4)

Tale of the Tape: Since 1998, South Laurel is 1-20 against the Warriors... But this one feels different. Are the tides turning in the 8th district? Or can Southwestern keep their place as king of the hill?

It may be closer than it usually is, but it's hard for me to see a scenario where South Laurel pulls off the win. Especially on the road.

SW by 3 tds.

This is not the same southwestern team we are accustomed to, they'll win but it'll be a back and forth game until the end.

Here is the link to the game.

Word around here from some of my Pulaski friends is that Foley knew Hines' playbook inside and out, that's why SW had beaten Pulaski 6 of the last 7 games they had played.

Unless Hines has a new playbook at South Laurel, I look for the Foley over Hines trend to continue.

SW leads 7-0 start of 2nd quarter.

South Laurel just apparently forgot what down it was after having a penalty on 4th and inches. They ran another play on 4th and 11. Now SW ball.

Cardinals are protesting.

Just corroborated via the stream.

Refs had it right. It was 4th down. Huge mental error by the SL coaching staff.

21-0 Warriors

3:00 and counting 3Q.

Southwestern 21-0.

South Laurel player holds a SW player down after the whistle. Throws multiple punches. Tries to rip SW players helmet off his body. Was pretty violent.

Benches clear. Here we go.
