What are some thoughts on what the 8th Region All A will look like next year?

Walton losses seven seniors off this team so it may not be good for them next year.

Carroll really has the talent to put a good team together. I don't blame everything on Coach Miller, but right now, he is not inspiring his boys to follow him into battle. They need to make some serious changes from top to bottom. I think some roles need to be reassigned on the coaching staff and the entire coaching staff needs to be utilized. That is why they are there. The boys need to start trusting the coaches and vice versa. I think that is really the issue. Once that falls into place, they will be much better. This change does not necessarily have to wait until next season. There is plenty of time left.

 

That said, I still think that Gallatin will be in the final game. As for their opponent, I think it is wide open.

Trimble loses three seniors this year, all of whom will be missed on the court. However, they will return a solid nucleus of juniors and sophomores, so they should be competitive. That said, they will really have to step up the compete for the 8th Region Class "A" title.

I agree with coach wife, gallatin, although losing 4 seniors, returns a strong lineup, and i look for them to make another run next season.

Ain't going to say anything bad about the other teams but Gallatin does have coach Jones and that IMA gives Gallatin the edge.

Gallatin returns 5 players that all contribute

Out of the 9 man rotation Brown, Carlton, Maddox, Henson, and T. Jones return. Of course they won't have the depth of the last 2 seasons, but that is very rare at small schools to have that for one season, let alone two.

Riley, Roberts, Cheatum, Proctor and Meadows are seniors, we only have 1 junior on the team and the rest are Sophmores and Freshman. So 4 out of 5 of out starters.

It looks like to me CC is in trouble at least next year

Yes. He was actually the 9th man in the rotation until Edmondson became eligible. He is a freshman.

The starting five really has rotated around this year. Cable, Allen and Hendrick have all gotten starts. Although they are young, those three have a lot of experience and Miller has played Jesse Proctor, Will Yager and DC Craig w/some regularity giving them more experience than it may appear.

I think Carroll is going to be great next year. Good attitudes and a desire to win will really take those young guys far. Those guys really are fun to watch, especially when they get to play together with more regularity! I have seen the Fresh play and we just need to be patient and they will do well.

 

I would not count Carroll out for anything..all A or the districts.
