The Knights of Lexington Catholic (0-6) host Bourbon County (0-6) in a district battle of winless squads. However, the Knights have played a brutal schedule to start the year, especially when compared to Bourbon's slate of games. Coming off the bye week, expect Lexington Catholic to make a statement as they open district play. The Knights have not scored more than 28 in a game this year. Bourbon County has failed to keep an opponent under 38 in a game this year. I think it might be safe to say that one of those streaks is more in jeopardy of breaking than the other. Look for a running clock by the Knights here for their first victory of the year.

Wow. You expect Bourbon County to be a team that struggles, but what has happened to Lexington Catholic? They seem REALLY DOWN this year. 

LexCath plays one of the most difficult schedules in the state - pound for pound, it may be THE most difficult schedule in the state through the first six games.  They were 2-4 last year against the same schedule.  Only difference this year is two teams twice their enrollment (or even more) that they beat last year are having significant up years and got them this year. 

I would be surprised if they don't again find themselves back in at least the region finals, perhaps the state semifinals.

Then District time needs to be “get well” time so that they get a good seed for Round 1 playoffs.
