North Laurel comes into this one with a disappointing loss over crosstown rival South Laurel. They are now sitting at 2-4 by losing four straight. They're also 0-2 in the district. The offense has only been able to put up 28 points combined the last four games. North desperately needs to figure something out here to avoid going 0-3 in the district and setting up a game with Harlan County for the four seed. 

Pulaski comes into this one off of a heartbreaker against Madison Central. Leading by 3 with under 20 seconds left, they gave up a big pass play for a score on fourth down to lose the game. PC sits at 4-3 with two close losses in the final 30 seconds and a 9 point loss to Woodford. PC needs to pull this one out to avenge a setback to NL last season.

If you asked me after week 1, I would have told you that this game would decide the district. 

 

It seems like every season the wheels fall off the Jags around the week they play Southwestern.
