Reds set to hire Terry Francona as manager

Check out baseball rosters around MLB. Almost every team in baseball has multiple key players who deal with injury issues. The Reds aren't that different on the injury side of things.

True, but most teams have more depth based on their payroll than the Reds did. Once guys you were counting on were out for an entire season or prolonged time on the IR, the Reds just didn't have the depth to fill those spots the way a lot of teams did.

On the hiring, how often do you get a chance to hire a manager headed to the Hall of Fame.

But everyone brace yourselves. That likely doesn't matter in Reds country. Francona will be questioned by Reds fans like he is a fool who lost all reason in the one year off.

This has proven to be so true. In a sport where getting a hit 3 out of 10 at-bats gets you in the HoF and winning 6 out of 10 games gets you in the playoffs yearly, online Reds fans act like every player should hit .400 and the team should never lose. Lol

As a Reds fan I’m surprised they made the playoffs given how the Castellinis run the team, I’m not surprised Terry Francona got them to do the small things on the field to make the playoffs. Coaching every pitch matters, and he has a great track record of getting  his guys to stay motivated no matter the situation.

The Reds need a new owner.

Forbes says they are valued at $1.3 Billion, have at it. ?

Maybe I’ll just buy a couple of teams.  No need to get greedy.
