Martin County Cardinals (4-2) | Prestonsburg Blackcats (6-0, 2A #9)

? Cats And Cards Clash For District Driver's Seat

• Common opponents: Pike Central and Paintsville. Both blew out the Hawks and narrowly escaped the Tigers.
• P'burg outlasted previously unbeaten Betsy Layne last week without attempting a single pass. All 423 yards were accrued on the ground, led by the duo of Alex Harris (248) and Dalton Elliott (136). Martin County pulled a similar feat last season, when they wrecked the Blackcats 44-0 behind 462 yards rushing and zero yards through the air.
• The most dynamic player on the field is Cardinals Jr. QB Devan Maynard, who's accounted for nearly 1,500 yards of total offense and 22 touchdowns. But his legs are further ahead than his arm, as suggested by his 47% completion rate and 9/9 touchdown to interception ratio.

Series History ?: Prestonsburg leads 20-9 all-time | Prestonsburg had won ten straight over the Cardinals under their previous moniker, Sheldon Clark. Martin County is 4-0 against the Blackcats since the rebrand.

Give me Martin Co by 6.

Bump.

I'm interested in this one. It kind of seems like Prestonsburg has been doing it with smoke and mirrors at times this season (three of their six wins are by 7 points or less), but none the less they are winning.
