I have relatives on both sides of the Ohio River, Russell/Ironton. I have watched Ironton since the mid 1970's.  Maybe not size wise but execution and athleticism, this may be the best team at Ir

  • Having been around Ironton, I can share a lot of information pertaining to their program. Ironton is in Division 5 in Ohio. I'm just guessing that they would be around the size of a 2A school in Kentu

Pikeville can make a game of this if they can establish the run. I think that is a must. Ironton's secondary is very good, with Louisville commit Josh Johnson patrolling the back end and Terry playing

What a punt!  I can't do that one justice.

I was about to say, disaster averted by Blake Caudill. Not that it mattered in the end as Ironton ties it up again.

Touchdown pass from Schreck to Terry.

That is what I mean, great play by Caudill and then like you said, ugh. A safety would have been better.

Terry goes 80 yards on the first snap of the second half. Ironton has its first lead of the night. XP is no good.

27-21 ?

Duty hits Deonte Stevens down the middle for a game tying touchdown. XP is blocked.

Touchdown Pikeville and ugh on the extra point.

Timeout Ironton.

The Tigers have the ball at Pikeville's 12, 3rd and goal.

Wow, Pikeville really just gave up a 4th and goal from the 22.

Schreck rolls right on 4th and goal from the 22 and slings one to the endzone where it's caught off a deflection for an Ironton touchdown. XP is no good.

33-27 Ironton

Shanked punt by Caudill leaves Ironton at midfield with a chance to put Pikeville in a bind.

Still 33-27 Tigers.

6:30 remaining

TD Ironton. Strong run straight up the gut from 16 yards out. Two point conversion is good.

That one hurts.

41-27 Tigers

3:16 to go

Still a great effort and game by Pikeville.
