North Hardin will travel to Mt. Washington this Friday to take on the Chargers.  The teams have met 5 times before with NH winning 3 out of the 5.  Last year Bullitt East was able to edge NH 48-30.  It was a sloppy game with a lot of mistakes made by both teams.

North Hardin comes into the contest with a record of 3-2 with their best win being a 38-14 victory of PRP.  They also beat an obviously down Southwestern team, 14-0, to begin the season.

Bullitt East comes into the contest with a record of 4-1, having dropped a tough one to Louisville Central late in the game.  East's best win was against PRP also.  Besting them 48-12.

I don't know a lot about NH this season.  Looking at the stats from their first 4 games they are pretty balanced.  They seem to use 2 QB's with moderate success and they pass more often than they run.

Bullitt East is pretty balanced with the run and pass, with their passing game being used just a little more often.  That however is probably because the running game has struggled at times.

I like the Chargers to come out on top in this one, but they will need to improve the run game and not turn the ball over.

BE will have their hands full with Josiah Hope.  I was very impressed with him against CAL earlier this year.  The big fella moves extremely well and will give BE fits in both the run and pass game.

I think overall the Chargers have a bit more football talent than the Trojans, but they'll have to get over the loss Friday to Central quickly or NH might sneak up on them this week.  Sometimes that's tough to do when you're an overall young team, plus add the fact it's homecoming week for BE, and they might be a bit distracted by everything else.  This one is a toss up for me.

It has been changed to Thursday the 26th at 7pm.

North Hardin's lack of discipline, penalties and mistakes on both side of the ball will be too much to overcome in a game against an opponent like Bullitt East. The PRP/ North Hardin game was hard to watch at times with penalty flags all over the field all night long.

Can North Hardin establish some sort of running game? Something it hasn't done all season.

Can they limit the penalties and turnovers?

I believe that the Bullitt East balanced offense and a defense that has limited their opponents to 13 points a game will be too much for North Hardin.

My Prediction: Bullitt East 34 North Hardin 21.

49 YD TD pass Loggins to Lunz.  XP is blocked 6-0 North Hardin with 6:43 left in the 1st.

NH interception returned for a TD.  2PT conversion is good.  14-0 NH with 6:25 left in the 1st.

Interception NH.  1st and 10 Trojans at their 20.  4:50 left in the 1st.

Wow!

NH goes up 3 and out.  Punt is blocked.  BE takes over 1st and 10 at the Trojan 11.

Cornell keeps for 8YDs.  TD Chargers.  XP is good.  14-7 NH with 2:17 left in the 1st.

NH goes 3 and out.  BE takes over 1st & 10 at their 33

61YD TD pass for NH.  XP is blocked.  20-7 with 2:44 left in the 2nd.  Hate to say it but North Hardins special teams are awful.  If not for that, they might very well be up 28-0 in this game right now.
