Cupcakes galore, if Warren East is your best win you’re in trouble. Having said that I do like what John Myers is doing with the Trojans and you won’t see many teams running the Wing T much better than those young men. They have really good size up front, great QB play executing it about as well as one can ask and a couple big boys that run hard.

Oh, and they are a wing t team as well! Gotcha.

All the people shaming BC should keep in mind they have been bad for a lot of years and there’s no shame in scheduling teams you can compete with. Are they state championship caliber of course not but do they have a chance to win only their second district championship ever yes they do. As far as Glasgow they lost 17 seniors last year and then had 3 more starters transfer out including one to BC, they only have 7 seniors and only play about 3 of those but they have a ton of juniors around 20 and should get better as the year goes along. If you just go off scores I think Glasgow has a chance in their district as the perceived best team Adair had a similar game with Monroe Co as they did. Now I know Hart is also pretty good but it’s kind of hard to tell how good because they haven’t played a very tough schedule as well.

I agree with this.  When you have been down for some time, you can't start by scheduling T, X and H right out of the gate.  I'm impressed with what Coach Meyer has already accomplished (even though I thought their last coach was doing a pretty good job as well).  I'm pretty sure next year Barren drops down to 5A in District 2 and they will be able to compete with those teams (well maybe not BG out of the gate), but South won't be there and Barren can play and have quite a bit of success with the likes of Grayson Co, Ohio County, Warren Central and Greenwood.  Good for them!

Will be watching to see how they do in district play.  They have a shot and that's all you can ask.  And honestly, to host a playoff game would be a big accomplishment in my book.  Gotta start somewhere.

Looking at what the Hardin County schools have done I would say probably beat CH and lose to NH and then I assume they will beat Warren Central so you are probably looking at a home playoff game I’m not sure who that would be against but that’s a heck of lot better than what they’ve been doing.

I don't think anyone was frowning at Barren for their schedule. I think it's just more or less the comedy of the RPI rewarding them with such a high ranking while beating the teams they have, which in turn makes one question their validity at said ranking.

Barren County hasn't had a productive season in a long time. This schedule allows them that opportunity. I think it will serve them well.
