Thru two games Central Hardin's offense has only produced 13 points with 147 yards of total offense vs GRC and 133 yards against Manual. It is hard to imagine a scenario where they can score enough points against Henderson County to come away with a win. Henderson County has scored 76 points in its first 2 games and played a very competitive game vs South Warren. 

At this point, it is hard to find a win this season for Central Hardin. Maybe it comes in week 7 vs Warren Central? In the meantime. This offense has got to generate more points. Averaging a touchdown a game is not going to win you very many games at the high school varsity level. 

My prediction: Henderson County 34 Central Hardin 7

The offensive growing pains at CH are not hard to understand. The triple option is a very complex and high risk offense,and it's going to take time before the execution is where it needs to be. That being said, your earlier posts about the Bruins lack of speed,if that be the case make it an extremely difficult task to run it effectively. 

I believe you are spot on about how the game will go. Henderson County's defense is better than their stats as they have played against two exceptional QB's.

I see the Colonels wearing down the CH defense and pulling away to win the game,42-14.

Sometimes it is about maximizing the potential you have at your school.  To me, that is what good coaches do.  Run offensive and defensive systems that allow success at that particular school.

Over the years, I have seen many fair to bad teams become bad to terrible teams because they tried to run a spread offense when it simply did not fit.  Look at what Hart County has done for an example of how to maximize the talent at a particular school.  Bell County, Johnson Central, and Belfry are good examples as well.

I have nothing against the spread offense.  I just don't think it fits every school.

It's not about the spread offense, it's about working with your team on both phases of offense (running, passing), so that you have a realistic chance to win a state title in 6A football.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but CH and NH are never going to compete for an SC in 6A. Central doesn't have the athletes and North doesn't have the coaching. You combine that with having to face the likes of Trinity, Male, St. X, FD and next year SW among several others and its just not going to happen. The best they can hope for in their best years is a region championship and even that hasn't happened often.

Lightning in a bottle. Happens very very rarely. I’ve been around Hardin County sports for 30+ yrs. Etown is the only one to truly get close and they are 3A.

North Hardin had their best season of recent history in 2019. 13-0 going into the final four against Trinity and got absolutely waxed 54-7.

Joe Jaggers was a legendary Coach and was at NH for a long time and couldn’t get them to a SC game. 

BE has a great youth program and those kids play together their entire lives. That certainly helped them get there and win it but it is still an anomaly. Hardin Co has too many youth programs that go in all different directions.

And things only get tougher next season with NH moving to a Louisville district and South Warren joining 6A and Central Hardin’s district.
