The Royals (66-55) come to Cincy to take on the Reds (60-61) in a 3-game series. The game Friday is on ESPN+ at 6:40pm and the Sunday game is the MLB Network at 1:40pm. The Reds need two of these 3 to get back to .500. Go Reds!

Crucial series for both teams as they try to get wild cards in their respective leagues.  Reds really need to win the series or sweep it.  I feel like the team always gets fans hopes up by getting back to .500 or close and then digs another hole.

Royals take the opener 7-1.   Michael Lorenzen beats his old squad for his 6th win of the year.

Raise your hopes a little then push you off the top of the cliff 

Reds trail the Royals 13-0 after 6 innings. Just terrible Lodolo went just 2 1/3 and gave up 8 runs all earned. 

Reds have pushed across 1 in the 7th.   Now 13-1 Royals in the 8th

After the sweep of the Cardinals, everyone was talking playoffs.

Well, as expected the Reds get people's hopes up and are now 3 games back of .500 again.  Team can't get over that hump.

Benson is just HORRIBLE!!!  Runner on 3rd, 1 out, and doesn’t get 1 swing!!!!  Why is he still here??

Outscored 28-3 in a 3-game sweep at home by a team that lost over 100 games last year, another dandy performance guys. GABP is supposed to be a hitters ballpark especially for homers. I guess it is just for the visiting team. The Reds not only just scored 3 runs in the 3 games but they only 18 total hits in the 3 games to go with the 3 runs. The Reds travel north of the border to take on the Blue Jays starting tomorrow with a strange 7:07pm start time.

We probably should give KC some credit. This year’s team is 69-55.
