The 2nd semifinal for the girls state championship has the Sacred Heart Valkyries (29-7) taking on the Cooper Lady Jaguars with a shot to move on the state championship tomorrow night. This game tips tomorrow afternoon at 1:30pm. These teams are not stranger to playing each other this will be the 3rd time they have matched up this season. The Valkyries have won the previous two games by scores of 54-42 back on December 8th and the 2nd win was on January 27th that saw Sacred Heart win that game 61-56. Can the third time be the charm for Cooper or will Sacred Heart move on to play for their 4th straight state title. I would like to see Cooper stop their run, but I don't think they can. Hope I'm wrong it should be a good one.

I don’t see Cooper winning the game with their regular starting five playing most of the game. 
They have a lot of talented kids on the bench that can help them on both ends of court. 
I hope they pull it off somehow.

Can they?  Sure.  I'd say they'd beat them 1 time out of 10.  Hope today is that one.

I have been on this soap box all week, but I really think at least this morning this game should have tipped 25 minutes after the Butler/McCracken game. If the KHSAA had done so this game would have tipped around one and would have given the winner an extra 30 minutes of rest time before the championship.

Don't ask the girls to play two games in one day the entire season, then in the biggest game of their life, they are required to.  I get the cost to rent Rupp, but just doesn't seem to make sense.

I just noticed something about the NFHS I hate.  For this game I am going to watch it on my main TV so I brought up the broadcast on the NFHS app through Apple TV.  As soon as I did that I got the below message on my workstation which has never been the case in the past because I would watch both broadcasts so that I could see the replays, ugh..

Yes they have started that I got the same message during the district tournaments I tried.

Good game early on Cooper is more than holding after starting the game on a 5-0 run and leading 5-0 it is now 7-5 Sacred Heart who has went on a 7-0 run of their own at the under 3 media timeout.

I am thinking the color commentator may be rooting for SHA.  I am going to have to pay close attention.
