This is the first game of tomorrow night's evening session of the girls state quarterfinals. The Sacred Heart Valkyries (28-7) take on the Bethlehem Banshees (27-8). This will be tall task for the girls of Bethlehem taking on Sacred Heart who has not lost a game vs. a Kentucky opponent in the last 2 seasons. These teams have not played each other this season, but they did play 4 common good opponents. Those 4 teams were Pikeville, Manual, Frederick Douglass, and Owensboro Catholic. Against those 4 teams Bethlehem was 2-2 and Sacred Heart was 4-0 and defeated each of those team by 18+. I don't see the Valkyries losing this one, but that is why they play the games.

Don’t underestimate the Banshees!

Most of these Banshees slayed the Valkyrie Dragon on the pitch….to capture the Soccer State Championship. I think because of that they walk in here with some moxie.

The only team that will / could keep it within 10 of SHA is Cooper in the semis.  Otherwise, it is the Sacred Heart Invitational held at Rupp Arena.  Again.

Getting ready to tip. I am interested to see how Macy plays against Sacred Heart.

Sacred Heart gets on the board first and led 2-0.

Sacred Heart has went on a 7-0 to now lead 13-4 with 2:22 in the first quarter timeout Bethlehem.

In the :44 seconds between the Bethlehem timeout and now the media timeout the Valkyries have scored 4 more and now lead 17-4 and are on a 11-0 run.

Sacred Heart leads 23-9 end of the first quarter.

The Valkyries lead 28-9 about a minute and a half into the 2nd quarter.

SHA may be able to rest some of their starters.

40-25 Sacred Heart leads at the half. The 2nd quarter was better for Bethlehem as they were only outscored by 1 (17-16) in the 2nd quarter.

Sacred Heart leads Bethlehem 49-31 halfway through the 3rd quarter.

This one could be heading to running clock it is 57-31 with 1:23 left in the 3rd quarter. What could be even bigger is that they are going to be able to rest their starters.

It was 59-32 at the end of the 3rd quarter.

It is now 61-40 halfway through the 4th quarter.
