Guts says yeah, he waits for that.   He doesn't seem like he's burned out on it.   So unless he starts having health issues or the chaos that is college sports gets WAY worse before it starts to get better, I think he goes out with another title.

Going out with a championship cannot be common at all. I’m not sure anyone has done it since Tom Osborne, and that was 26 years ago. No telling who it would have been before that. Saban could be the one to do it, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if he never won another. It’s not as easy as he’s often made it look. 

 

If it wasn't this year it was going to be the next.  He can still make appearances on all of the college football shows for the next few years as long as he wants to.
