In terms of current head coaches, looking around JCPS, there's not really any chance Wolfe is looking at this one, and I'd be EXTREMELY surprised if Dantzler is looking to make a move right now. So elsewhere in the district I'd say Josh Gillispie who spent last year as interim at Manual, Keith Eckloff who recently vacated Seneca, Nino White at Atherton, and Josh Abell at Fern Creek are probably the best suited to move into the Ballard job.

Dover (Fairdale) and Lawson (Waggener) would also maybe be some somewhat "dark horse" names from JCPS who may or may not apply. I could see Brock Roberts (North Oldham) applying, and mayyyyybe Cain Sams (South Oldham) as another dark horse.

I had a little birdie tell me that Nino is a pretty likely candidate for a job outside of JCPS, so that would make a sixth JCPS job to open up this offseason, and would add all the more complication to finding good applicants for this one, although this is currently really the #2 job available in JCPS right now, just a short bit behind the Manual job.

Definitely thought there would be a lot more talk and traction on this one. Seems to be very quiet! Wondering if an internal hire is coming! 

I got to see Ballard twice in 2022... the upset over Male and their game at Manual. Coach Morton did a super job with the Bruins.
