Very well said, the "we're crushing our grandchildren" argument is dog-eared. The highest the national debt has ever been as a percent of GDP was following World War II, and the same arguments were made at that time. In fact, there is still some amount of the current National Debt that came from WWII. We pay interest on it, to be sure, but I am a grandchild of those who lived and indebted us during WWII, and there is still plenty of milk in my refrigerator, and the sky has not yet fallen.

If this keeps up (and I have no reason to doubt that it won't), I will quickly lose interest in Hillary's candidacy. I know that the primaries for both parties will contain a good deal of mudslinging, which will only escalate during the runup to the general election, but man, I'm tired of the character assassination that has become the standard method of running a campaign.

I think(hope) Obama will stay above it. He knows his best chance is to stay positive and use his abundance of charisma. If he does he may come out on top. With Hillary's negative numbers he doesn't have to go negative. Kerry and Gore will take care of themselves. Edwards is a challenge but doesn't have as much personality and fights the same experience questions. Don't know if Richardson will have an impact but I would be surprised if he does.

GW signed the partial abortion bill. The same one that Bill, and I am assuming that Hillary would feel very similar, vetoed.

 

Enough for me to say that this country's unborn youth would be better served without Hillary as President.

I believe that later reports have traced both the report that Obama was educated at a Madrassa and the report the the Clinton campaign was behind it to the Moonies. It was an attempt to smear two with one lie.

In the present mindset of this country, I don't think there is any way that Obama is elected. And what uninformed voters will assume by his name would be a greater hindrance than boom. I wonder if he is not more of a media creation than actual political power.

I did not know that. In researching this I found that it is believed that since Moon created the Washington Times, it has lost $1 billion.
