Louisville 73 Bellarmine 68

Closer than it needed to be.  I honestly think Payne was coaching for his job for the remainder of the season.   If they had dropped 2 straight to the Knights, no way was he going to have continued fan support for the remainder of the 23-24 season.   Not that he has a ton now.

I saw a quote that one of the players didn't know if he wanted to play or not, because they didn't have the tights or underwear that he liked. Surely that's not true is it?

There is no salvaging the job. He will not be the coach at Louisville next year.

It's true, but I think it's been made worse due to another PR debacle from Payne.

Ty'Laur Johnson is nursing a groin injury, and I guess felt more comfortable in a specific set of tights, and was struggling in the first half. KP just made it seem like he didn't want to play because he didn't have his favorite tights or something, which I don't believe to be the case. He made Johnson look silly, rather than saying he's still nursing a groin injury.

KP has turned this program into a circus.  From getting "tricked" by a zone defense to flat out throwing  Johnson under the bus last night.  Dude, handle your business and keep some things to yourself.

I know that.  I just meant if they lost to Bellarmine again, he may not have been the coach as of 12/1/2023.

Nice win KP and Ville, keep moving forward.

While I think it's more than warranted and there's plenty of ammo already, at this point I don't see them doing anything during the season unless it REALLY goes off the rails, which is completely possible during conference play.

Sadly, they only have to win one more game for him to say "Look, we were better than last year."   LOL
