I think that's just the nature of a good coaching search, find the top young assistants and hope one of them is interested and could be persuaded. Travis Burns' name also seems to get mentioned for every job in the area. Sureeeeee

Lol, sometimes that’s it.

I think the question for Coach Burns and Fields is do they want to take on a full scale rebuild? I know Fields had some interests from good programs while at Catholic. I’m sure Burns has had even more interest from quality programs! East is a tough job, it has proven to be tough since it opened. Could it become a good job? Possibly but I don’t think it’s a guarantee. Is either coach interested in a job with this many question marks?

This job has potential when looking at location, facilities, pay scale, and overall athletes in the area. I’ll be very interested to see the list of true candidates. I expect it to be a mix of experienced coaches, and guys looking to make a splash. Very intriguing opening!

Fields and Burns are in totally different jobs currently.  Fields is in a dumpster fire and Burns is in a penthouse.

VERY true! Burns can be much more selective than Fields.

What type administration support is there?

More than 0, but just barely. That goes for all sports there, not just football.

Interviews are going to start the week before Christmas Break begins. Heard some names. All qualified. I think East Jessamine won't be able to go wrong just from the names in the mix that I was told.

Care to share those names?

Trenton Fields would be a good hire, has been an Offensive Coordinator at several area schools. He’s worked, and coached in the Jessamine County School system before as well.
