He's been an assistant there the last two years.

I can't speak for how accurate the info is, but I'm hearing some chatter that assistant coach Travis Laws was approached about taking the job and turned the opportunity down. Now they are talking to former Green Dragon QB/DB and current quarterbacks coach Will Varner (HIHS '19) about taking the job.

Has this job been filled or does anyone have an update on the progress?

The job is still listed to their district's employment opportunities page. Tough sledding in Harlan, apparently...

Eric Perry resigned on October 30th. So that's 188 days without a head football coach. That's over half of a freakin' year.

Bonkers.
