Campbellsville 35 Louisville Holy Cross 0

I said 3 TDs. I’m impressed!!!

I’ve been telling people for weeks Campbellsville is really good, and I think they will make a game of it with Raceland and Pikeville.
I don’t believe they can beat either of them, but do believe they could hang within two or three touchdowns of them.

For people more in the know in Class 1A, how might this Campbellsville team compare to the Russellville team from two years ago that no one really talked about but gave Pikeville all they wanted before ultimately falling by three points in the state final?

I would say very similar. Campbellsville, like Russellville was, are extremely fast across the entire field defensively and get to the football as a unit. They haven’t been tested outside of the Somerset game, they have dominated everyone else.

Offensively they are again like that Russellville team, they can do about everything, speed option, RPO, spread you out and throw it or spread you out and the QB keep the ball on designed runs. It’s a wide open offense, with multiple guys who can score at any given time, only issue they have at the moment is depth, and a smaller line.

I think Pikeville and Raceland would just pound the ball at them all night and have success with the big guys laying on the Campbellsville front seven. I would think those games would go something like 28-7 or 35-14 type games.

Campbellsville is also a very young team, who is going to be scary good next year. This team isn’t one to sleep on for the next 3-4 years.

Congratulations to Campbellsville.

It was a Great Night in Louisville Kentucky to play the Game… Holy Cross has really done some improvements to their football stadium and it looks really nice… Great Atmosphere… the Eagles defense held the Holy Cross offense to 70 yards total and piled up 460 yards of offense… next Friday night in Campbellsville will be Electric as The Eagles host KCD for the District Championship…
